Since we are beginning our new fall track workout season this workout is designed to prepare us for faster stuff.
4 laps for warm-up
8 laps of strides
4 laps for cool-down
Total 16 laps or four (4) miles.
For those new to working out with me, strides are short burst of speed of about 15 to 20 seconds and then a cool-down period of about 45 seconds. On the track we push ourselves; focusing on form, foot plant, etc, starting on the straight-a-way at the first stadium light pole and finishing at the next stadium light pole, then a cool-down around the corners and back at it on the next set of lights.

You are right Brian, 16 laps makes 4 miles. My mistake. Post has been corrected. See you later today.

Our first Track Night was a success. Brian, Randy, Betsy, Michael and I was there having some good fun. Though at the time of developing the workout, I didn't think it was to hard, but I was glad when it was over.
