Effective on the 1st of November, local runner and tri-athlete, Paul Hopkins, became the new owner of the San Juan Island Fitness Club. In his efforts to make the Club a local source for fitness information and activities, Paul has asked me to develop a San Juan Island Fitness Club Running Program that would be open to both club members and other community members. Initially we will be developing and adding more Group Runs, Running Races and, starting in January, a training program for interested parties in training for the San Juan Island Marathon or Half Marathon. Some activities will be free and others will carry a fee for participation.
Besides my involvement in organizing and developing these areas of running interests, I will be available for coaching, through the Club. Stay tuned for more information on that subject.
