This morning I had a most pleasant run due to the fact that this morning had sunlight - thanks to the ending of Daylight Savings Time and a clear sky. I also did not have to worry about dogs running wild in a pack of six or more beasts. Though I did see a poodle. Or maybe it was an alpaca.
With the time/daylight back to where the time masters had originally designed things to be, I will be leaving work in the darkness, meaning no daylight for an after work run. In my quest to not have either a positive or negative "car impact experience" I am moving my running to the early mornings, which at present continues to have a tad of daylight, but not for very much longer. Soon I will be going to and from work in the dark. Much like Nanook of the North.
Morning running is hard for me as I am required to get my running butt out of bed at 5:30. Maybe 5:45, but I have to have one or two cups of coffee before I head out the door. Though morning is safer, due to the caffeine fueled verses the evening alcohol fueled drivers, I can feel assured that I will be returning from my nocturnal adventure in one piece.
I also have just received my Re-Flex Running Package from http://www.reflexsafety.com/proddet.php?IDArt=1527
This running package consists of a reflex vest, belt and arm/ankle bands - all designed to keep me visible. You can order on-line or contact Best Customer Service Award Winner, Susan Nappi at snappi@sayreinc.com for more information.
Have fun and don't forget to be seen.
